Introduction
The following are the rules and regulations of the Deadline Roleplay Community. These rules apply to all registered members and guests, and are to be followed at all times, by all members of the community, including members of the Staff and Administration.
Policy 001. Member Relations and General Conduct
- Definitions.
- As used in this policy, the following terms are defined:
- Public Channel
- Any channel of communication in which there are members of the community, excluding direct messages.
- Member
- Any member of the community or guest in the FiveM server, or Discord server.
- Sexual Harassment
- Any unwanted or unwelcome sexual advance or comments; conditioning any offer of privilege, rank, or title based on a sexual request.

- Public Channel
- As used in this policy, the following terms are defined:
- Respect Towards Members and Administration; Derogatory Remarks and Political Arguments Prohibited.
- As a general rule, members shall address each other with respect and courtesy.
- Making disparaging remarks towards or about a member of the community is prohibited in all channels, including direct messages.
- Making derogatory statements about anyone’s known or perceived race, sexuality, or gender identity, ethnic origin, or disability(ies) is prohibited; such conduct may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including immediate termination or a permanent ban; such discipline may take place outside of the warn, kick, ban policy.
- Arguments in public channels are not permitted, and should be taken to private messages.
- Arguments are not permitted following or about a staff decision.
- Complaints against a staff member where a perceived violation or misinterpretation of the rules is observed shall be handled in the manner outlined in the staff complaint policy.
- Political discussions are prohibited in public channels except general, neutral discussions of political processes or other informational content.
- Political arguments are prohibited in public channels.
- It is the responsibility of any staff members to declare a political discussion out-of-bounds and require such discussion or argument to be removed from public channels.
- This decision may be overridden by a member of a higher administrative rank for cause.
- Spreading of misinformation about important issues pertaining to the public health or public safety is prohibited.
- Swearing or cursing is allowed in public channels, subject to exemptions under this section. Excessive cursing is prohibited when a member or staff member requests that such behavior be toned down.
- Sexual or other harassment is expressly prohibited and will be dealt with outside of the warn, kick, ban policy. Egregious violations may be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
- Recruiting for any community, server, department, or other group is prohibited without the express consent of the Administration Team.
Policy 002: Staff Team and Department of Human Resources
- Definitions.
- As used in this policy, the following terms are defined:
- Staff Member
- Unless otherwise stated, “Staff Member” includes all members of the Department of Human Resources.
- Staff Member
- As used in this policy, the following terms are defined:
- Department of Human Resources Policies.
- As issued by the Director of Human Resources on behalf of the Head Administration Team, the most current version of the Department of Human Resources’s Policies and Procedures shall be adhered to by all Staff Members.
- Abuse of Permissions.
- Abusing any special permission, technical or permissive, granted to a member for a specific purpose is prohibited.

Police 003: Channels of Communication
- Definitions.
- As used in this policy, the following terms are defined:
- Staff Member
- Remains as defined in Policy 002.
- Office Owner
- The primary occupant of an office.
- In cases where an office is shared, any member of the office may be defined as the “Office Owner” where designated by the Head of Department.
- Public Channel
- Remains as defined in Policy 001.
- Private Channel
- Any channel in a private server or private messages hosted on DLRP servers, to include Direct Messages and Private Chats.
- Secured Channel
- Any channel that allows members access to sensitive or confidential information.
- Staff Member
- As used in this policy, the following terms are defined:
- Abuse of Channels; Metagaming Prohibited.
- No person shall use private or public channels to provide themselves an unfair advantage in the server (“metagaming”).
- Offices are to be used for official business. Social gatherings may only take place in offices open to the public, but these are generally discouraged as opposed to meeting in a public lobby or general chat.
- Music; Soundboards; Background Noise.
- The playing of music or use of soundboards shall be generally prohibited in public channels, except with the permission of the members in the channel or the office owner, where applicable.
- The playing of music and/or use of soundboards is prohibited in all radio traffic channels, with the exception of a dispatcher using tones or other sounds in accordance with their Standard Operating Procedures.
- All members are required to have enabled Push-to-Talk in radio traffic channels, with the exception of members of the Special Weapons And Tactics Unit in accordance with their Standard Operating Procedures.
- Members may have PTT disabled and use voice-activation if they ensure that their microphone doesn’t activate erroneously.
- If a member’s microphone activates erroneously, they may be required to enable PTT.

- The playing of music or use of soundboards shall be generally prohibited in public channels, except with the permission of the members in the channel or the office owner, where applicable.
- Editing of Channels.
- No person, except the Office Owner, Head of Department, or other person authorized by the Administration Team, shall edit the name or description of a channel except to revert obvious error or vandalism.
- No person, except those explicitly authorized by the Administration Team, shall edit the permissions of a channel, to include subscribe power, join power, or talk power. The following exceptions apply:
- The chair of a meeting may prescribe that talk power be edited to allow only those authorized to speak permission.
- If a meeting is interrupted, the Office Owner may change, or if they do not have the permissions, request to change the join power.
- Pornography Prohibited.
- No person shall distribute pornographic material in any public or private channel.
- Punishments for violating this subsection are exempted from the Warn, Kick, Ban policy.

Policy 004: Confidential Information
- Definitions.
- As used in this policy, the following terms are defined:
- Confidential Information
- Any information, including personal information, that is sensitive in any manner and non-public.
- Personal Information
- Information that could be used to reveal the real life persona of a person, to include but not limited to:
- Real names when not shared;
- Addresseses & location information, excluding country and state;
- IP addresses or other personal identifiers;
- AND personal social media pages.

- Confidential Information
- As used in this policy, the following terms are defined:
- Confidential Documents, Sharing Prohibited.
- No person shall share any documents with an unauthorized person.
- No person shall share any work-in-progress documents with a person who is not involved in the writing, reviewing, or approval process.
- Personal Information, Disclosure Prohibited.
- Members should not disclose any personally identifiable information about themselves, but shall be aware that if they do, the community and/or administration is not responsible for any consequences of such a choice.
- No person shall disclose the personal information of any member without their express permission.
- Punishment for violations of this subsection are excluded from the Warn, Kick, Ban policy.
- Personal Information, Seeking Prohibited.
- No person with administrative powers shall use those powers to seek out the personal information of any member, except in the case of a bona fide emergency.
- No person shall seek the individual information of any member except as prescribed in subsection (a).
- Punishment for violations of this subsection are excluded from the Warn, Kick, Ban policy.
Policy 005: Member Profiles and Names
- Name Structure.
- No person shall rename themselves outside of the established naming protocol of their department.
- Names shall not violate Policy 001, Section 2.
- Avatars.
- No person shall select or upload an avatar or other profile image that is inappropriate or pornographic in nature.
- Avatars may not include any imagery or other information that violates Policy 001, Section 2.
Policy 006: Patrol
- Definitions.
- Radio Traffic Channel.
- A Radio Traffic Channel is any channel used by Law Enforcement, Fire & EMS, and/or FAA for primary communications.
- Radio Traffic Channel.
- Radio Traffic Only.
- Radio Traffic Only, “RTO”, is to be maintained at all times in Radio Traffic Channels.
- RTO Protocols are to be created, maintained, and updated by the Administration Team in accordance with their rules, and as soon as practicable, shall be published in a document viewable to members who require access.
- Standard Operating Procedures.
- Members shall adhere to their department’s Standard Operating Procedures.
- “Guest” members shall adhere to the Civilian Department Standard Operating Procedures.
- Intoxication Prohibited.
- Members shall not patrol under the intoxicating influence of alcohol or drugs.
Policy 007: Retirement
- Retirement Qualifications.
- When deemed appropriate by the Administration Team, a member may retire honorably.
- While not restricted from approving the retirement of any member, the Administration Team shall use the following qualifications as a guide to determine if retirement is appropriate:
- Retirees should have been in the community for at least 6 months;
- Held the rank of Staff or higher;
- Requested retirement due to reasons not related to the operation of the community, such as real life events, military service, etc.;
- Not had any major disciplinary action in the last 3 months;
- AND is still in good standing with the community.
- Retired Members, Privileges and Restrictions.
- Retirees shall retain their last-held rank in tag and title, with the addition of a “Retired” emblazon, mark, text, or tag.
- Retirees shall be allowed to patrol in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures of the department from which they retired.
- Retirees will not maintain their rank’s operational authority unless specifically granted by the Head of Department.
- Retirees shall not hold or exercise the authority of a supervisory rank, but may give an advisory opinion when requested.
Policy 008: Offer, Exchange, or Request for Gifts or Items for Sale
- Definitions
- As used in this policy, the following terms are defined as below:
- A gift is defined as any gratuity, favor, discount, entertainment, hospitality, loan, or other item having monetary value.
- A sale is defined as any exchange of anything of monetary or other value for another thing.
- A member is defined as any individual who is or has been a participant in either the Discord Server, or FiveM server, subject to the jurisdiction of the community administration.
- A public channel is defined as any avenue of communication open to members of the community, including unlocked offices.
- As used in this policy, the following terms are defined as below:
- Requests & Offers of Gifts
- It is prohibited, within public channels, to do any of the following:
- Request of any person, or in general, a gift of any type;
- OR, offer a gift to any person.
- It is prohibited, within public channels, to do any of the following:
- Conditional Gifts, Sales; Offers for Sale.
- Members shall not do any of the following while a member of Deadline Roleplay:
- Offer for sale any item of value to another member;
- Offer or request a gift or sale as a condition of any rank, title, position, or other privilege;
- OR, in a locked channel, where a sale or gift request and/or offer would be otherwise permissible, request or offer a gift or sale in a nuisance manner.
- Members shall not do any of the following while a member of Deadline Roleplay:
- Exceptions.
- Exceptions to this policy are as described herein:
- Community or Department-sanctioned randomized giveaways conducted in a fair manner;
- Offers for sale from any official partners authorized to conduct a sale by the Administration Team; //i.e. Developers
- Other such exceptions as the Administration Team may by written consent provide.

- Enforcement.
- DLRP Community Administration and Staff shall enforce this policy at all times, and shall issue disciplinary action where warranted, up to and including a termination or permanent ban.
Policy 009: Discipline
- Warn, Kick, Ban Policy.
- For general violations of these Rules and Regulations and other official DLRP Policy, members of the Department of Human Resources shall follow the Warn, Kick, Ban Policy, in accordance with the DLRP Administration SOP, except as exempted in DLRP Policies.
- The one general exception to the WKB policy is the “No Intent to RP” Standard. If an unregistered member fails to demonstrate an intent to RP or to learn, an Administrator or other person with permissions may ban them permanently.
- Departmental Discipline.
- Interdepartmental Discipline and other measures are left to the discretion of the Head of Department in accordance with the departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Policy 010: Intellectual Property
- Document Creation
- All members, as a condition of membership and by submitting an application to a department, consent to the transfer of ownership and rights thereof of the documents created for and approved by a Department or the Administration Team for use anywhere in the community, except when granted a written waiver by the Human Resources Director, on behalf of the Administration Team. No person shall make a claim to any document for the purposes of copyright or trademark for the documents subject to this section.
Policy 011: Age of Members
- Minimum Age
- To comply with federal law and Discord Terms of Service, all persons entering the discord shall be at least 13 years or older.
- Should a member under the age of 13 be discovered, they will be removed from all assets.
- Minimum Department Age
- The minimum age to join a department shall be 16.
- Exceptions may be made by the Department Head on a case-by-case basis.
- Exceptions will not be made beyond the age of 13 years, in compliance with Section 1 of this policy.
- Exceptions may be made by the Department Head on a case-by-case basis.

Policy 012: Discretion of Administration Team
- Rules Not Listed Herein.
- At the discretion of the Administration Team, rules that are not enclosed herein may be promulgated in writing.
- Such promulgations shall be distributed in a form directed by the Department of Human Resources.
- Should a member take an action that “skirts” or violates the spirit of a rule, an Administrator may rule that action to be in violation of the rules under this section.
- Appealing the ruling of an administrator for a ruling under this section can only be done through the Administration Team.
- At the discretion of the Administration Team, rules that are not enclosed herein may be promulgated in writing.
